Tradelossa has once again embarked on a significant venture in Mexico, contributing to both the tourism and railway sectors with the ‘Tren Maya’ project. This substantial investment, located in the central and southern regions of the country, has been in progress since September 2023 and is set to continue through 2024.
Our teams orchestrated the seamless movement of train carriages directly from China to the port of Manzanillo. Subsequently, they transported these carriages to Ciudad Sahagún, Hidalgo, where meticulous adaptation and remodeling took place over several months.
In the latter half of 2023, Tradelossa successfully transported 12 carriages to Cancún, Quintana Roo, a city renowned for its tourism and biodiversity.
In February 2024, operations resumed, with an additional 4 carriages reaching their destination punctually.
Currently, our trucks are en route back to Ciudad Sahagún to collect more carriages, maintaining an ongoing cycle. In 2024, we plan to move at least 12 more carriages, totaling 600 tons and reaching a cumulative 1200 tons between 2023 and 2024.
While this project posed challenges for our team, our unwavering commitment to safety and quality ensures secure and efficient operations.
Below are the dimensions of each carriage:
- Length: 2.3 meters
- Width: 3.13 meters
- Height: 4.5 meters
- Weight: 50 tons
