Tradelossa was invited to be part of a project that will set a precedent within the public transportation industry and the tourism sector in Mexico. One of the largest mobilization projects in recent years in Mesoamerica.
The challenge consists of the mobilization of 62,000 steel rails. Each with a length of 24 meters (945 inches). In total, 1,488 kilometers (925 miles) of steel rail will be moved, equivalent to half the length of Mexican territory.
Starting from one of the most influential ports between the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico, Puerto Progreso, Yucatan. With destinations to different points within the state of Quintana Roo.
Traveling more than 400 kilometers per route, a total of more than 434,400 kilometers (269,762 miles), equivalent to traveling more than 100 times the total length of Mexican territory.
Starting operations during the third week of 2023 and establishing an execution plan with the objective of making more than 1,200 trips with a continuous flow of parts transportation during the next months until the project is completed, covering all the delivery dates set by the client.
Using state-of-the-art equipment and dedicating a fraction of its fleet to the completion of this ambitious project, 10% of the project has been completed to date. This year will be full of achievements for Tradelossa in the coming months.
