During the month of February, Tradelossa transported a Generator from Altamira Port to Durango.
Delivery was made at a local thermoelectric plant where it was later rigged to set the Generator in its foundation.
The base where the Generator was going to be installed was located 17m above ground and it had to be horizontally sled 10 meters so it could be set on its final position.
For this rigging operation, a specialized equipment called Strand Jack was used. This hydraulic equipment, allows the cargo to be lifted to a desired height, supporting up to 333 tons.
The area where this rigging operation had to be done was very limited as it was a previously built. This piece had to be lifted through a very narrow space for it to be installed on its base, making sure that the cargo or the previous structure was not damaged.
The rigging operation was a total success thanks to a proper planning and the use of innovative tools which allow us to offer more solutions to our customers, with a high level of safety and precision.
Tradelossa is the first Mexican company to invest and use an equipment like the Strand Jack.
Congratulations to all Tradelossa team!
